photojournalism
1. Events and Activities
Throughout my three years in high school, I have gotten the opportunity to take photos for many events. Oftentimes, taking these photos is planned while other times, I see something happening and just take a photo of it. There are so many great opportunities, and even in high school, there is always something new and exciting going on. What is important is finding those things and shots that highlight school excitement.

2. Sports
On top of traditional school events, there are sports games and practices. Because of action and quick movement, taking photos is oftentimes more difficult to capture, especially when it is in the dark, in the gym and during the day. However, finding nice action is always very rewarding as it captures the raw emotions of things happening. I really love taking photos of sports because there is always something new to learn, whether it be camera setting, angle or the actual sport itself!

3. Daily Life
Other than traditional photography for school events, I love taking photos of daily life. Especially during quarantine, I had our school camera and took advantage of it, taking photos wherever I go. Whenever we would go on short day trips to the beach or elsewhere, I would bring my camera along to take photos. Because I love nature and landscapes, I take lots of photos of those, but my favorite subject is my dog, Chuck! I have so many great memories captured through cameras, and thanks to scholastic journalism and learning how to take photos with DSLRs, I have been able to capture them with the highest quality.
