Hi! I'm Bennie Chang, and I work at L.E.K. Consulting, where I advise companies on strategy and commercial due diligence. I'm interested in how we can build better places, particularly homes, by bringing together the public and private sectors.
Growing up in the Bay Area, I saw how difficult it was for people to afford housing. Part of the solution is simple: we need to build more. The harder question is how. I'm interested in the intersection of policy, business, and innovation that can make housing easier and more affordable to build, from rethinking development rules to finding more efficient ways to construct buildings.
At L.E.K., I learn about the business side of the built environment by working with companies across the building and construction value chain. Outside of work, I hope to bring that perspective together with my work with governments to help make housing more accessible. I believe a house can be more than a roof over your head. It can be a home and a foundation for a better life.
Before moving to Boston, I graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, where I served as student body president.
In my free time, you'll find me rating restaurants on Beli, wandering local neighborhoods, and sneaking candid photos of friends.
